The ensemble with poluanekdotichnym named "Shpulka" - he of Winston Salem comes to tobacco, American cities in North Carolina. Created in 1996 - three metres fast smart students tamoshney, severokarolinskoy School of the Arts: Aaron Bachelderom, Michael Jackson and Thomas Dzhoelom Lembdinom. Bachelder is responsible for drums, percussion, marimba, vibraphone and all, Jackson - for the live clarinet and electronics, Lembdin - cellist (in this record participation, he has not taken, by the way). The aim of the project, as reported on their modest Page MySpace (c other hand, it is important to all modest, even for Osama bin Laden) - "to explore free improvisation as a means of creating new music." But that reverence "shpulki" have meant by the new music - this to me, listening to their part of the disc, failed to understand. Spool-live-track, recorded last fall at the Flight Test rec., - Noyzovy moderate, moderately dronovy, moderately boring and clearly godlessness delay. The most fitting description of him: neither fish nor meat.
But the Stars vverhtormashkami "curious how much more. This duo (Gerrett Gentry Mark Hepp) working in the field of troubled oldskulnogo industrialization and `To Throbbing Gristle with glimmers of Shamanism: dirty, neakkuratnaya (apparently deliberately), and not wicked perekoshennaya ritualistika.
